re: How many time can a woman be pregnant healthy?

Quoting Summerfrost:" The eggs don't die ..... the quality of the eggs is not as good as you get older, but the risks from ... [snip!] ... makes pregnancy possibly more complicated for OP. That's not saying that it will be, but there is a chance that it could be. "
i'm not 100% sure but i thought i'd read several times that eggs die quite rapidly... so just googled and found this but i must admit i don't know how credible it is but it is certainly interesting!

i get what you are saying though the more her reproductive system goes through and the more invasive it is might affect her fertility.

(the next bit is not aimed at you just general!)
i thought this happened to me- in fact last year i was 100% convinced that i had Asherman's syndrome.. as i had been unlucky enough to have my first ever IUD fitted and within a few days it perforated my uterus i needed emergency surgery to get it out... i had all the symptoms, very light but very painful periods. a perforation could have caused scar tissue, but i was wronger than anyone ever was wrong, for i have been pregnant THREE times this year!!! both my abortions were surgical... the first was at 11 weeks, and i was pregnant again just four months later AND we had used a condom.... so a big ol' hole in my uterus AND a vacuum/curette procedure didn't appear to make pregnancy difficult to achieve in my case... some people are just more fertile than others i admit i have made mistakes and 5 out of my 6 pregnancies were unplanned... BUT 3 of the accidents were NOT caused by carelessness, BC failed us; some people just get pregnant easily so i think maybe some people give OP a break? ;)

re- the scarring... i know a little about this from my Asherman's research i did last year- it can cause infertility and miscarriage mos def but i don't remember reading anything about birth defects... my understanding is that vast majority of birth defects are caused by chromosome abnormalities (complete chance, nothing you can do about it other than selective IVF) and the other few are caused by exposure to toxins during pregnancy x

My mum is 42 and her youngest child is 5.

She has had ten pregnancies first 5 were healthy and all to term.
After that she had one misscarriage
One born with noonans sydrome
The next time she had pre e and and emergency c section 6 weeks early
Then pre e again delivered a baby 8 weeks early that had edwards syndrome and died a few hours later
And lastly pre e again and emergency c section 6 weeks early

I have no idea wether the last five pregnancies had anything to do with the amount of times she had been pregnant or if it was because she was in her thirties when she had them or if it was just a coincidense but i believe something played a role in her body being able to have five healthy pregnancies and then five difficult ones.
