increased apatite and teething

my 9 week old is teething now he was having 4-5oz bottles every 6 hours but since teething its been 4oz bottles every 2-3 hours.... today especially but hes also had his first set of jabs...... is this normal??? hes putting on almost a pound every 2 weeks

How do you know he's teething? Also, it could be a growth spurt in which they eat and sleep more than usual.

The nurse told me that DS may want to feed more after his first set of jabs. As long as he's not jumping of the charts in his red book then he should be fine to carry on feeding on demand., you could always try the hungry baby milk too. Sounds more like a growth spurt though!

had him at the drs for his check up and he says hes teething because hes got alot of signs of it....

hes been on hungry milk since 2-3 weeks old lol

Well just keep feeding on demand. If you're worried you could ring your health visitor! Babies can go through periods where they eat more or less! I'd be more worried if he wasn't eating lol. Does sound like a growth spurt though.

My little boy did this too! I fed him what he wanted when he wanted and it didn't last long, started wasting formula so took it back down to what he was on before.

I wish people would look at location before they comment on something they think sounds funny, I still have a giggle when I read posts that aren't from the UK and I am so confused, we speak differently here and to be honest it makes more sense! LOL well to someone else who lives in the UK anyway
