Could tonight be the night....

So this afternoon i was having some cramping.....nothing unusual lately. Then around 5pm it turned into something a lil stronger then a cramp.
SO ran me a warm bath to see if it would ease the pains (it usually does) but I wasn't so lucky this time. He rang his parents to see if they would be able to watch the kids tonight, and packed their bags. So at around 6pm we went and dropped the kids off, and left there place at about 7. We still had to come home, coz I didn't have my bag and I thought I'd ring the hospital first to see what they said.
Got home around 8:30 rang the midwife, told her I'm having contractions every 6-7mins lasting around 45secs. She told me to just take it easy and put my feet up, if they get to 5mins and lasting longer, or if my waters break to ring back and then go in.
Even though iv still got 2weeks to go, I kinda hope that I do end up having to go in, coz otherwise I just feel like iv wasted everyone's time and uprooted the kids for no reason.

Good luck! I felt the same when I went into labour with my 2nd at 38 weeks. I was worried about wasting every ones time if it was a false alarm, but it wasn't lol.

Thanks ladies. While the pain has gotten stronger, the times are less frequent  

Try lots of walking to get it going again,sex, or a bumpy car drive lol. Good luck and keep us posted x

We went walking around the shops for an hour, drove round in circles over the speed humps in the car park lol. I was hoping for sex, but SO is snoring his head off next to me. I may just have to jump him while he's sleeping lol

Do it! That's what I did when my contractions started slowing down and within an hour I was at the hospital.

Oh I'm seriously considering it. Figured were already kid free, so if we don't end up at the hospital we may as well have some crazy sex.....it's been a while.

Lmao wake him up and let him know that it may be the last time he is getting any for a while. That should give him a kick up the bum lol

I found it easier with my first. As soon as I got that first pain, I knew straight away it was a contraction. Iv just found it harder this time round, coz iv been getting cramping everyday for over a month now. With my last two I had nothing at all, then it was like BANG and I knew that was it.

Have you been getting any pains at all?

Yea my midwife said they were ligamnet pains even though they are short sharp pains...but had a pain in 2nd trimmester not sure what it was but I felt like i'd been winded and was really painful...don't really have pains with the braxton hicks or really notice them too much though they are more regular now.
