Preparing for baby #2

I am ready to make baby #2 but worried about my son. He is so spoiled rotten, I am so lost, on a great environment for him, and would like advice from mommies with 2 and more kids, Am I ready for #2, where you ready for #2, when is the good time to start planning for another one, I hear soon, then I hear no wait till he's about 4 or 5, but I dont want to wait, but why do you think? My DH has been wanting #2 since my son was 9 months old, and he kept bugging me after my son turned 1 I didnt want another one, till I was ready, and now I am, but I want to be more prepared, and get ready for the ups and downs on my toddler, any advice mommies?
