membrane sweep?

I'll be 40+3 tomorrow at my appointment, and my midwife is going to sweep my membranes. Did it work for you?

Nope, I had it done three times.

ive had it done with 2 out of 4 of my babies and it worked both times for me

Nope...my midwife tried at 39, 40, and 41 weeks with my oldest, and the stubborn little mister didn't budge until 42+3, 36 hours of labor and a c-section.

Pretty sure he'd brought like a couch, tv, and microwave along with him in there though. He was smurfin' comfy.

nope...I had it done at 38 weeks and 39 weeks, gave me some very strong contractions for a few hours but then they grew farther and farther apart...im now 40w2 days and still no baby..my midwife told me there was no way i was making it to my due date ive been 5 centimeters and fully effaced for a little over a week now and still no contractions once so ever...

I hope my body responds.... I really, really, REALLY don't want a christmas baby.

fingers crossed it works for you...i wish it did for me im now 2 days over and so miserable...hoping by my appoinment on wen that ive made even more progress and my little girl will be here before the weekend....

I'm in the same boat as you had a membrane sweep tues and immediately had contractions for 2 hours but then nothing the good thing is that my mucus plug started to come out so I guess that's a good sign sorry if that was tmi...good luck hope it works for u I also don't want a Xmas baby..ohh btw I'm being induced on Sat

I'm fighting tooth and nail for my water birth. Lol part of me just wants it to be over, but the other part can't let go of the birth I've always wanted. It sucks a hard one.
