Epilepsy and trileptal

Does anyone have a child who has taken Trileptal for seizures? Did it change your child's mood and behavior while on it? Any information on changes you have noticed in your child would be helpful. Thanks!

I took it for seizures when I was 14.
I felt like a total smurfing corpse, I wanted to die.

Topamax was the only thing that worked for me.

Did it effect your behavior at all? I am concerned because my happy, sweet child has become aggressive and angry out of nowhere. She has been on the medicine for three months and the behavior just came out of nowhere. She is so irritable that I am worried for her.

Yes.
I was angry, depressed, snappy, ect.
I felt like I was disconnected from reality, sort of like watching a movie instead of living real life.

Meds sometimes take a while to build up in the system, so it could very well be the meds making your DD act that way.

not a child but I took it for years. I was a zombie.
