I think it's so smurfed up how many kids are diagnosed with add or adhd simply for being kids. A lot of the time their behavior can be corrected with different parenting techniques. But people are lazy these days.
I'm really lucky my thyroid medication is on the 4 dollar list or I'd you know DIE, but I have to go without my mental health meds in order to stay physically well. It's a smurffy cycle.

I work in a pharmacy in a very affluent neighborhood. A lot of my customers children are on ADD/ADHD meds.
And the amount of people on anti-depressants, benzo's and adults on ADD meds is staggering.

I had a break down about 2 weeks ago, still dont kno why i get so low, not as much as before, but still too much to have to deal with. Iv been on these same medications for acouple months, and my last bad down was HORRRIBLE where i did attempt to do harm... I do need help, but sadly dont know how to get the right kind. or it could just be my mind talking, the one that makes me feel hopeless and a lost cause.. but today im fine and thats what i have to do is just take one day at a time..

Do you have a specific diagnosis, hun?

If you're having trouble finding help, I would try contacting MHA (here's the link to the one in New Jersey, it is a national organization: http://www.mhanj.org/) and see what resources they have available to you.

They do a lot of advocacy, help you find treatment and the one that was near me also offered a lot of support groups, art therapy, etc.
