low pubic bone?

posted 17th Dec
Im 26 weeks and my Dr said my pubic bone is really low which puts me at high risk for a C-Section, which i will more than likely have to have. Didn't even know, apparently woman who have this font even know because they lead normal lives. Anyone else had this? Did u have t ok go through labor and try pushing before they decided a C-Section?

My MW was always commenting about my "low pubic bone" when she was measuring my and I had a completely natural, non medicated labor... both of my births were vaginal...

I never heard of it but you can request not to have a c-section and try a vaginal worse case scenerio it ends in a c-section but it could work out just fine. A lot of doctors like to do un-neaded c-sections and try to scare women into having them I am not saying that is what your doctor is doing but there are plenty of doctors that do it because it's easyer for them meaning it's quick and doesn't take long to do verses labor which can take hours.

After hearing all the reason doctors try to schedule C-sections now a days seems like they don't like to deal with anything including healthy pregnancies lol it’s sad really

I really don't want a C-Section but its more likely ill end up getting one then id rather just get it done rather than go through all the labor and pushing just get cut anyway!! I don't even know if i have a choice on what to try.

You have a choice as long as your baby is not in destress they can not force you to have a C-section it's against the law. If I was you I would maybe ask to have a meeting with a couple of different OB's in the practice and see what they say to get another opinion some doctors are just not that confident and don't want to take the time to try others have been doing it longer and are able to handle it. It's just a matter of finding one that will be an advocate for you instead of limiting you to only what they want you to do.
