Wet bags reek. I have no clue if they promote bacteria but I can imagine they do.
I rinse mine out in the sink and wash em with our cloth diapers.

I use a wet bag, but I don't go more than 2-3 days before washing, and I spray really icky ones and hang them until wash day. I don't have any mold or bacteria issues

waterproof zippered bag for cloth diapers. keeps the smell out and is washable. It prevents moisture build up and bacteria better than a plain plastic bag

We've been using a trashbag until we get our wetbag. Am I going to regret it?

You might. I personally only use a wet bag when I'm out. Otherwise the diapers and mama cloth go into the diaper pail. The wet bag seems to contain the smell in, even if it's left open.
