Ok, that's good to know. I just saw a lot of opinions about stuff that didn't seem to support what you just said. When you're claiming to know fora fact that Obama is the MOST liberal and that the link I posted is obviously just a bunch of liberal propoganda trying to persusade the moderates, that doesn't seem to me like like you're opening your mind. Well what exactly are they trying to propogate then? Whether he is # 25 or the MOST liberal, as indicated on the other site? I don't think the whole site is a big conspiracy to promote Obama being #25 to sway the moderates....that seems like a lot of work to put into one website just to promote that one message, don't you think? Both are based on a system which we could all argue isn't going to be 100% accurate no matter whatwe allthink, right? It's still all opinion, just different opinions.

I just think that when you state something as fact (MOST liberal comment) but you are only referencing one source, that is being closed minded. If you indeed look at other sources, talk to other people, educate yourself otherwise, etc. then what need is there to make an all or nothing statement based on one source? That may not have been the intent of the original statement, but that's what it seemed like to me.

On a totally different note, I actually think it's great that people are discussing this! I don't think we all have to agree either...I'm just questioning other's thoughts/motivations/etc....just like you are mine

The site you referenced is based on votes from 1990 forward. How on earth can that be accurate for someone who has only been in the senate for a few years? The site you gave also says that they have a column for 07-08 votes and I don't see it anywhere. Am I missing it?

How can basing it on only votes received from 2007 be accurate?
I think they are in the process of updating the site for hte 07-08 column specifics...

I do not think that there will ever be a canidate that people will agree with 100%. As one of my favorite history teachers said, "Voting is not about choosing the perfect president, voting is about choosing the lesser of two evils."

I agree with some points from all three canidates. However I think that Obama will fail to win if he does not have Hilary as his VP. Even then it will be a vicotry not easily won.
