"good" tv shows for my 2 year old.

posted 17th Dec
i know tv isnt the greateast thing. he doesnt watch it all the time. but it really helps him calm down just before bed or nap. and sometimes he watches it in the car on long car rides.
he likes this stupid show called PINGU. we have cut him off from it because they dont talk. they just make noises and we dont need his speaking halted or whatever because of that show.
he LIKES, blues clues,Diago, anything with cars or trucks like Chuck and friends, and occasionally hell watch Seasame st. he also likes older kid shows like jimmy neutron/
anywho...looking for a "good" "educational" tv show that he can learn from. we have my baby can read. but other than that nothing. any ideas?

my son watched backyardigans all the time. he finished them all before he was one. that was the theme of his first bday actually lol
so PBS is pretty much "safe" ?

My 2 year old loves the shows little bear and Franklin. I like them because they are more like reading a book than cartoons.

Se has also learned a lot from dora/diego, and sprout/sproutlets.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Dinosaur Train, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Chuggington, Franklin.

My children are Disney kids, they watch everything that comes on Disney Jr. I can get them to watch Jimmy Neutron and Fairly Odd Parents from Nick though.

PBS is COMPLETELY safe. It's all Arthur, Thomas the Train and stuff like that *my favorite is Signing Time!* It teaches your kid sign language!!!!

OH YES. he has watched franklin before as well and liked it   i forgot about that.
i dont really want him to be a tv freak. but he likes watching it sometimes. and i like when he does because he calms down. he has a very good imagination and isnt always glued to the tv. but when he IS i would like it to be something that he could learn alittle from you know?
