tailbone still hurts

I think I broke my butt! LOL I'm 11 weeks PP and my tailbone is still killing me! Sometimes it hurts so dang bad that even when I am laying down and there is no pressure on it, it still sends shooting pains up my butt and spine. I talked to my OB about it and all he said was give it time and take anti inflamitories. I have been and even those cant touch the pain of this. I have some T3's left over from my surgery I had in November, and those dont help either.   So I have been asking for a donut pillow for Xmas. Have any other ladies hurt their tailbones during childbirth? And if so, how long did it take to heal up and stop hurting.

I fractured mine during childbirth and it took months to feel better

Nothing really helps it. The donut pillow will be nice.

Are you sure it's your tailbone??
Shortly after I had DD1, I thought I had hurt my tailbone. I couldn't sit , stand, lay down without excruciating pain. Even the T3's wouldn't touch the pain. I made a trip to the emerg & it turned out to be a pilonidal (sp) cyst. An infection that had to be lanced & packed. It was one of the worst experiences of my life.

eep that sounds horrible. I'm not 100% sure its my tailbone. I brought up the pain in my butt to my OB and he said that some women come in a long time after with pain in their tailbones still so I just went off of that.
