dating question

I've been single since the thursday before thanksgiving 2011. My daughter will be 5 months December 28th. For those of you that are dating again how did you get back out of there. Did it just take time, I just can't seem to wrap my head around dating. The whole thought of it seems foreign to me considering I was engaged and really haven't been in a ton of relationships. I just recently like the last few nights been thinking about the future wanting more kids and marriage. I guess it all just seems scary trying to get back out there.
