I'm not real impressed with the science. Like I said, we're doing Horizons for math and 100 easy lessons for reading (neither their immediate picks.) I haven't found anything that I REALLY like for science yet. I'm not stressing over it too much, because we have an amazing science museum and a yearly membership...but still, if you find anything will you let me know?

I'll definitely let you know! I just checked our science museum and they have classes for homeschoolers - they look awesome!

And I'll take a look at Horizons for math and the 100 easy lessons for reading - thank you for your input and suggestions!

Horizons is a little "worksheet-ish" with HOD being literature based, and my daughter LOVING worksheets I figured it would be a nice thing for her. I've also heard good things about Math U See (can't remember if you mentioned that one) but it isn't in our budget. Also, I LOVED math mammoth, but it doesn't start until 1st grade.

That's the thing really, I'm not sure what he is going to enjoy really. I mean hands on are obvious, but I guess the beginning really is a trial and error period!

Yea. My daughter seems to love worksheets....well, she likes everything. I think she's going to be my "easy" child. My son will be the one where I'm constantly having to re-evaluate and try new things.
