I don't know. I am just heartbroken and emotional, I cannot think of everything that needs to change right now. This just hits so close to home & I cannot get over it.

I think I would like to see bullet proof glass in all schools. Maybe even an adjoined safe room for each classroom.

We have a handful of guns & I wouldn't feel any less free if they were all removed from my home today. In fact, I'll probably push my husband to get rid of most of them.

I realize guns are a big thing in te States, and as a Canadian I admit I am ignorant to them and the idea of having one. I've always been privliaged to live in a very safe community- heck at my parents home we hardley ever locked our doors. But maybe I would hope that the laws on gun control would become more strict. Like a in depth process of buying and owning a gun, and only allowing people to have 1 hand gun, and going through in depth information on reloading, shooting and safe keeping. You hear a lot about innocent accident happening with guns too. I'd be more afraid of my daughter getting into it some how- the odds of me ever having to use a gun are like none. .. I just think although sick people will always find a way to kill (if that is their intention) but if gun control was more strict than it would maybe slow down the process,. just out of curiosity, what is the process of buying a gun legally in the states?

It's pretty easy. Get in my car, go to bass pro or other shop that has guns. Get a background check that takes 5 minutes. Pick gun, pay for it & you're out the door.

It depends on where you live, to be honest. Some are stricter than others.


We have four guns, and we have every right to have them. We're educated, responsible, our kids have no access to them, etc. I fail to see why we should be restricted to only one?

If you only want it for protection than why do you need more than 4 - maybe two at the most one for both adult in the house, but it's not like you can use 4 guns at once.. also if you store them with no bullets which I feel that's how they should be stored, what are the chances of you being able to get to your guns load them and shoot before this sick person shoots/ kills any members of your family. Like one person said my first instinct would be to sheild my children, not run from them to grab a gun. most people I assume store them in a locked or safe place away from main areas which means you would have to get to that place ...

No mandatory waiting period in your state?

These laws on gun control are not to harm anyone- they are to protect you and your childrens in times where they might not be in your care. I'm not saying get rid of guns, but strict laws and the amount of HAND guns people can have should be limited. just my opinion.

Easy. Keep a few bullets in and have the safety on. Keep it in a place where you'd have easy access to it and where it would be far away from your children's reach.
Why do you you even care? Seriously. Worry about yourself and your family.

Protect us from who? The citizens who own their guns legally? They aren't the ones we need protection from, generally speaking.
