I like Amelie, too.

But, I think she would be called Emily more often. Plus, the Amalie version looks more German to me while Amelie looks French. lol. Idk.

Amalie is a legit spelling. it's pronounced Ah-ma-lee-uh. Amelie is pronounced Ah-me-lee.

I like Amelie / Amalie - beautiful name.

But I do agree - Amalie might get that separation from Emily.
