Dear Canadians and people from the UK

posted 17th Dec
I see comments all over the board and Facebook regarding the shooting and what America should change and countless criticisms on their laws and regulations.. It just makes me think of a pregnant teen trying to give parenting advice to a woman with a toddler.

What the smurf business is it of yours? Your job is to mourn the victims, to show support, you live in entirely different countries and IMO it's obnoxious and rude to think that YOU know how to fix things living a million mile away.

We don't always agree, but I love this post!

It works in Canada and the UK though..

An American should be upset about it, not a Canadian.

I've seen SEVERAL Americans saying it needs to change. Sometimes people outside looking in have the best advice.

I usually see us Americans comparing ourselves to others and saying what needs to be changed. I haven't seen people from other countries talk about changes with gun control in America.

i agree

and also, i'd like to say, i think it's in EXTREMELY poor taste to use this tragedy to make a point about guns, pro OR against.
how about everyone shut the smurf up about gun control and reflect about the tragegy

or even just shut the smurf up about gun control !

Well considering we don't have shootings on the scale that the states does, looks like Canada has the right idea.

Maybe if you had Canadian friends on Facebook or looked at the locations of people on here you'd see that people everywhere are criticizing America for their lax gun laws and everything else.

And just because something works in Canada with 1/100th of the population doesn't mean it would work there. How can an Australian or a Canadian say what would and wouldn't work in America, many having never even been there?

Several of the threads in the last few days have been posted by people from Portugal, Canada, Australia, and the UK.

I personally don't use other countries to say how America needs to change because I believe that she DOESN'T need to change. She needs to back to her full, ass kicking, awesomeness.

And your posting this is going to change things?? Not really. I am not one of those who plaster all over facebook and I too get annoyed with everyone posting various things as well. Everyone has opinions and eveyone thinks they know the answer. I simply ignore those people and move on

It wouldn't work because its one of our founding rights.
The founding fathers gave us the right.
What we need is better education and gun regulation.

Gun control wouldn't do anything. If people want guns, they'll find a way.
Remember the recent (year or so ago) massacre in Norway?
