Because you're sitting here arguing semantics about what a smurfing food dish is called, thinking you're oh so smart. Please.

Uh no. I was letting her know a true shepherd's pie is made with lamb. Sorry I know what traditional dishes are and where they come from.

Anyways..... Do I need to heat up the green beans before I put them in the dish and put in the oven?

Hmm. I don't know if I've ever put grean beans in mine... I'd probably stir fry them with a little seasoning and then put them in before baking the "meal".

YUM. We actually never make fresh ones. That sounds really good, though. But I am too lazy to get out. Haha

So I have a little bit of frozen ones but I don't know if it'd be enough. I also have some frozen broccoli. Would it be good with both of those mixed together?

I am really bad cause I make mine with ground turkey, lol, but here is how I make MY version of "shepard's pie".

1 lb ground urkey or beef, 1/2 onion - cook and drain off excess grease
add 1 pkg brown gravy mix and 1/4c water - mix well
add 1 can corn and 1 can grean beans - mix well
put all the above in a baking dish - add mashed potatoes on top and bake for about 20min or until bubbly
with about 5 min left I add about 2c shredded cheddar cheese and cook until all melted and gooey

So yummy!
