Some people find it unusual that my DD being a female is named after her father. Are you (as a female) or your daughter named after your father? Do you know a female who is named after her father? Please share

No to all but I know a few girls like this david and Davids, Joseph and Josephine, Michael and Michaela, Christopher and Christy, stuff like that

My daughter was named after her biological father's, father. I changed her name though.

Her name was Lilyin Terry, then it was changed to Lilyin Marie. Thank GOD.

Her last name was changed too.

Are we talking first or middle or whole name? my oldest daughter is named after her father Nicholas..her middle name is Nichole. Does that count?

No on either count, but I don't think it's that weird, depending on the name.

Yes! That's exactly what I'm talking about. A variation of the father's name incorporated into the daughter's name.

Off topic but I was listening to the radio a WHILE back and it was about strange name trends.

A woman called in because her father's name was Buck. Her mother's name was Fawn. They named her Bambi

Mt dad's name is Lee and I call my lo Kali after him. Also if I have a son I will name him Ledavien or Davien bc my dad's name is David Lee.

I LOVE Davien.

I joke with DH one day that if we ever decide to have another child and it's a boy, let's name him Donovan  

In a way. DH's name is Joseph, goes by Joe. DS's name is Lucas Joseph, so with DD we wanted to kind of keep the same trend and give her a variant of DH's name. We named her Eliana Jolie. I also loved the name Jolie and it's origin and meaning.

My mom was going to name me Curtissa. Thank God my older sisters talked her out of it. (Dad Curtis)

Now, my older sister not so lucky. She has a good first name, but middle name Richein. For Richard haha.
