I hate asking this because it might be alittle weird to some people, but I have a ? because when I asked the doctors I really didn't understand what they were trying to say, but has anyone ever experienced swelling in the vagina area after a Csection?

I have a spot above ky vagina that is swollen like or just bulges out. I don't know what it is but it hurts in that area il getting it checked at my PP checkup.

I did. I kid you not it looked like someone beat the crap out of my girly bits. The entire thing was swollen and bruised. And it was painful. I lived in those mesh panties they gave me for about 3 1/2wks because my normal panties would cut into me. My doctor said it was normal because of all the pushing and shifting, so I was like "Okay!" Normally I have a lot of questions when stuff like that happens, but everything was fine. BUT I would still mention it to your doctor to be safe. No harm in asking. Good luck and congrats!

Mind you I am assuming you mean the lower part, like around the opening. That is the part I am talking about. If you mean the upper part, yes, that is normal as well.

I didn't have one but someone very close to me did (she was living with us temporarily when she had her baby) & we had babies around the same time & hers was swollen awful. She did labor before delivery - so she didn't have a planned c-section (not sure if that makes any difference) all I know is she was very swollen & I was quite surprised as I had almost no swelling & I had a vaginal (my 2nd, I did swell more with #1).

My entire vaginal area-labia, everything, was so swollen after my csection. It did eventually go down.
I figured it may have been due to the Foley catheter and the fact we have to lay down for 24 hrs after.
