kinda po'd 36 weeks 1 day and in labor and they are stopping

I know its still preterm but omg it pisses me off ok. I sit here with contractions 2 min apart and they check me say im now a full centimeter last week i was just a fingertip and they are saying my contractions arent making me progress so i think ok ill go home and sleep and either theyll stop or i have a drs app tomorow no i have to stay here for at least another hour because im contracting and they just gave me procardia i refused trabutalien again thats stuff made me feel like i could strangle a antelope and so now i sit here because they said if i dont do what the dr wants my insurance wont cover my visit so instead of going home with my crappy contractions that dont do anything i am now being forced to sit here and have my labor halted this sucks so sorry for the rant

Please don't complain. I was dilated to 8 for a month.

I work in a nursery. Yes, while 36 weeks is a better baby than a 28 weeker, your baby could still go to the NICU.

Your baby could:
-have temperature instability
-have blood sugar instability
-respiratory distress (mostly due to low blood sugar)
-jaundice
-poor feedings (again..low blood sugar)
-low birth weight (no brown fat to warm them if they get cold)


Please, wait it out. Enjoy this stage. I know it's hard, but these babies need a little while longer to cook. Take a nice bath (as long as you aren't ruptured), prop your feet up, and enjoy those kicks.

I know its early i had all the tests done ive been a frequent flyer in l and d sence 26 weeks my doc said after 35 we may let you go i go into labor and now im not allowed to omg make up your freaking mind or just let me go home
