If he "got physical" with you at all, call the cops. They will escort his piece-of-smurf ass out of YOUR house and he will not be allowed to contact you until the charges are decided upon and executed. Abuse in any form is NEVER okay and you, as a mother, cannot let your daughter witness or potentially be a part of that- no matter who her father is. This is not going to stop between you and him, and it has great potential to get worse.

Please, please call the police and have him taken away so you and your daughter are not in any sort of danger any more.

He had the intent and even if you defended yourself (which is sounds like you did) it WILL get worse and you are in danger, let alone that your CHILD is possibly in danger from his anger issues. He needs therapy and you need a paper trail in case something really bad goes down.

Call. The. Police.

They will come out, no matter the time or weather, and remove HIM from YOUR residence where YOU live with your child. Time frame, weather, time of day it happened, whether or not he's apologized... None of it matters. Get yourself and your child some protection.
