Im planning a VBAC for when I get.pregnant again and plan to have my mom (three vaginal births, 2 epi free), my aunt (three vaginal births, all epi free) and my mom's best friend (has helped at all three of my aunt's births, had two vaginal births including one where her daughter was born in the caul) plus my MIL (3 c secs.)

I have fortunately found a OB that took me and my T'd uterus that actually has privileges at my local hospital. So I will be delivering in a hospital but *hopefully* natural with no drugs at all. My doula is even offering to be hired for very cheap at only $100. She told me she wouldn't charge me anything but she lives 2 hours away one way and i understand she needs at least gas money because everyone is going through tough times these days. And I want to tell her just STFU but we just started talking to her after a year of no contact at all because she didn't like me because she thought I "stole" her son from her AKA we got married! And that i was pregnant with my ex's baby not my hubbys but just like i told her when that all went down.. Sorry but Im not a hoe. I know who I smurf and when and jsut so happens of course the baby IS my husbands. Oh and for some reason she didnt like me because I'm bi? Apparently my sexual preferences are her business. And the only reason she knew was because she seen on my FB i said i was interested in men and women. Ugh. Idk this whle situation is Smurf. My husband told me tonight during our argument that "he's not losing his mom again over me" Apparently her being a SmUrf is my fault? Lol

Amen to this! It's ridiculous! I will NEVER do what she has done to me to my boys girlfriends/fiances/wives when they get older. My mom has done nothing but open her arms wide open for my hubby but what do I get? Treated like smurf and stressed out while I am pregnant. NOT COOL.

Oh and I want a doula because sad to say but the three people that are going to be in my room with me well 2 maybe 3 depending on my MIL and her bitchyness. MY husband and mom work 80 hour weeks and well I dont trust or think the MIL would step up to the plate. So yahhhh. I'll be a loner during my labor because no one will be able to make it to the birthing classes and stuff.

1. i think your MIL doesn't have a foot to stand on. It's your decision, your body.

2. I'm surprised they're willing to do it without an epidural. During (induced vbac) labor, I was required to have an epidural before delivery just in case they had to rush me off for a c-section.

Sortof off topic, but I would be real nervous about vbac'ing with that incision. My high risk dr cut me off as far as vbac'ing went with my last labor. I have a L incision.

I;m nervous of course because there is that tiny chance that I could be that women that does rupture. But, idk it's really important to me to go as natural as possible with this baby because this is more than likely going to be our last child. I had a vaginal with my first but was induced and had an epi

Makes sense to me. The reason I vbac'ed was because I thought I should at least try it once. My vbac was awesome too. I only got the epidural during the last few minutes. It didn't even have time to kick in before i pushed him out. It moved very quickly and I barely tore. It didn't go so well with my youngest.. hence the fancy new incision site. I'm glad i tried though. If i got pregnant again, I would be ok with a planned c-section. I feel like i gave it my best effort. ;)

It was a high risk dr.   I have other medical issues going on so it was induction or c-section. It was done very very slowly over a 3 day period. That was my point though, if i had a dr who was willing to push the limits and even she wasn't comfortable doing vbac's with tricky c-section scars ... it would make me very nervous to find another midwife or dr who was willing to take things further. It's not my body though, so opinions are like butt holes ...... etc..etc..

If i had made a decision and I decided I was going to pursue it, it is very unlikely I would care what my MIL thought or my mom for that matter. I mean it's my body and my baby.

Wow, they're ignorant.   You're going to have to either tell them they need to shut it or just not talk to them about it at all. They obviously don't know what they're talking about and are just going to try to bring you down. Alot of people are like this unfortunately when it comes to child birth (everyone's an expert, right?). I had an all natural VBAC in January and it was the best decision I ever made. You can do it! Good luck!
