My two year old wont sleep

posted 16th Dec
Just recently, my 2 year old has decided hes going to turn his lights back on at night and continue playing with his toys after bedtime. No matter how many times I go in and tuck him back in, put the toys away and say goodnight, he keeps getting back up. Any advice for this?

tape the light switch? move his furniture if that`s how he`s reaching it. (had to do that with my 3 yr old)

I think just keep doing what your doing. If it doesn't work you may have to remove his toys from his room.

Is he still having afternoon naps? Maybe they are too long and he isn't really tired hen he goes to bed. At that age my son was shortening his naps or not having one anymore.

for ds this funny thing worked. we had the same issue about that age as well.we told him that when something is closed you cant use it or go in. and we started closing things.
At night his toys are closed. he knows not to play with them or they get put in a pillow case and he cant have them back untll he earns it back.
We closed the kitchen when he started saying he was hungry and thirsy just to get out of bed.
We even close whining and diffrent bad behaviors. it works really well.
when we say such nd such is closed. he says oh man and stops doing it.

I have taped the light switch but he shares a room with my 8 month old daughter and if i have to go in and care for her late at night, i have to untape it and doing that while in zombie sleep mode sucks. He's supoer tall so he doesnt even need to stadb oin anything to reach the switch. I tried siging him to sleep, reading to him, warm milk, a movie. I tried being stern with him and it doesnt help.
