Breastmilk color (weaning)

posted 16th Dec
I swear Ive had more questions than when I was nursing lol. I forget what old milk looks like while drying up. No nursing since sept. got pregnant end of oct lost baby 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I was leaking a little again without squeezing it out. Well just cuz I'm weird I did squeeze it a bit and when it hit the sink it was greenish. Only comparison I can think of is like snot green. Not that consistency or a bad smell just that color. And it is thick/oily feeling. still normal?

Colostrum feels thick and oily, but it has never been green for me.

I don't know about the thick, oilly feeling. But if I eat Lucky Charms my milk is green.

I shouldn't have colostrum though. I was only 6 weeks along. And my LO was about a year when she stopped nursing.

Orange cream flavored yogurt puffs make my milk, well, light orange. I about had a panic attack the first time.

I don't remember it being green before I guess. Its just not a milky consistency anymore so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

hahaha nice.

And my midwife is an LC also. I have to take a test to see if my levels from the m/c are gone. I planned on calling Tuesday so I might as well add this to the list of questions lol

Yeah, that's what I would do. It's the thick and oily consistency that sounds weird to me. But I know nothing about weaning.

Ya I remember it thicker last time. Its not like curdled thick.....more just the fat than watery consistency.
