DD wants a haircut.

posted 16th Dec
All I can find are hairstyles for girls.
She wants something short, she said she wants to be done with pony tails.
And hair pulls every time I brush it.

Suggestions?

Here she is following her recital:

What about a chin length bob. Or an a line bob. Then you could still pull the front back out of her face when you want.

With little girls you can never go wrong with a cute bob

have you tried using no more tangles, a leave in conditioner or something the helps the brush glide through her hair easier?

I would agree w/a chin length bob if she insists.

My 3 year old wanted a hair cut this summer, and we did an inverted bob. It was a little longer than chin length in the front and the stacked all the way up the back. She loved it and it was so convenient for when my hubby "did" her hair. We had to get it cut about every 6 weeks because of the style or it started to look a little crazy.

She wants to grow it long now, so it is in that crazy stage.

That is what it is looking like she wants! Thanks.

I am so sad, her hair is down to her butt.

Yes. We get dry scalps so she is always scratching her head (I check her for lice daily lol) so she gets tangles. We use the spray detangler.

First (if you really don't want to cut her hair) I would try a leave in conditioner with tea tree in it. My daughter has extremely fine very curly hair that tangles easily. I dampen her hair and then work in a small amount of this conditioner I got at the salon. Her hair comes together in thick ringlets and the brush slides right through it. It's not that expensive considering it lasts forever. You might want to give that a try first. Just a suggestion.
