No, I don't find them to be overly bulky. I'm site it depends on the brand though. I use, pamperedmama,and another that I can't think of.

I have bought mama cloths from a mama on here a few times. They're a lot more comfortable, especially when I'm at home. I haven't used them post partum yet, but I will when/if the time comes.

It's inside of a thick pad, these ones are really thick, they are for immediately following birth. Instead of the huge hospital ones.

I havent used it PP yet...
but I use mama cloth when I dont feel like using my lunette.. i love it!! i also use mama cloth panty liners as a back up with the lunette, or i use it now for the awful "sneeze pees" with pregnant.
I refuse to use disposible pads next this time, I had HORRID rashes last time becasue I bled for 12 weeks.

edit: I got mine off etsy, I suggest trying diff types to see what works for you much like cloth dipes...I prefer flannel, and no PUL..and I prefer longer pads over the shorter ones.
