Kidney Stones

My sister has been complaining about really bad pain in her abdomen, sides and lower back and when she went in to the OB, they told her it was a bladder spasm. Well...it's starting again and not seeming to go away - we're thinking it may be kidney stones. Has anyone had them before? What can a doctor do about them?

I always just had to pass them on my own. Warm salt water always helped me flush them out if I had one. Nasty to drink though but it works.
