It's practical for protection! Don't you think if SOMEONE in that school had a gun they wouldn't have used it and taken that douche bag out? They would have and maybe less lives would have been lost!

Absolutely not. I grew up on a farm in a very rural area. Everyone in my area has guns. for hunting, for collecting, for shooting sports, for investment purposes, etc. My hubby is huge into shooting sports, building guns, etc and he is absolutely the most responsible person with them. I agree with what others said that if someone is bent on hurting a person, they will. They'll just find other tools to utilize in place of guns. More mental health help and addressing societal issues would probably be much more effective.

No way. A gun doesn't march out of a safe and pull its own trigger, a person does. And people are reckless with more things than guns like knives, cars, drugs, alcohol...

No. Just because they would be illegal doesn't mean that people - generally, people who intend to use them for the wrong causes- wouldn't get their hands on them.
I do think there should be more regulations.

I'll agree with that also. I don't think they should be completely banned. I also think certain types of guns shouldn't be accessible to the general public.

That's just purely wrong.
The problem was allowing guns in the first place. Obviously, right now, your country is already too uncontrolled and people need to carry guns, but if, back then, someone had not come up with this stupid thing to let normal citizens own guns, maybe, just maybe, the U.S wouldn't be this dangerous right now.

Better outlaw vehicles, alcohol, knives, ropes, and belts while you're at since those are all instruments used to kill people.

No, I don't think ANYONE should have a gun - especially the man who attacked those children. Like I said, it's not practical at this point, I acknowledge that, but if there were no guns then yes, people would still die, but you wouldn't be able to mow down an entire classroom in a matter of a minute.

Nah, he was a phyco and would have found a way. That's what ppl fail to see. There was NO reason for him to go and kill all those innocent ppl. So if he was THAT smurfed in the head? He would have probably stopped at nothing.

You can buy guns anywhere illegally. It's super easy. Nothing was going to stop him, gun or no gun he wanted to do this.
