No. As long as it doesn't interfere with the straps they are fine.

These:

are unsafe and void the warranty.

I live in a valley so it's really windy here. This is my girst baby outside of Florida so I'm not used to all these cold weather items, haha.

This may be a stupid question...but doesn't having it fully covered like that pose a risk to the baby? I think the creepiest part is that it will completely enclose her and I'm afraid it won't be ventilated enough.

no they can breath fine. its just like a little square of velcro that holds it shut it doesnt zip all around the face. but it zips down the side so its easier to pull baby out. I live where it can get to -50 in the winter and these are a must. Ive used them with both girls no problems and they dont mind them either cause it doesnt acutally touch their face. They can breath fine lol

you will need one for sure...unless you wanna deal with falling off blankets and blankets blowing in the wind all the time haha. You wont regret it. Trust me.

I might get one, then. I didn't know they existed when I had my son or I would have gotten one. We were in NY and he was born in March, so it was still really cold and such.

I don't think the vehntilation thing should be an issue, but it it bothers you, I would just zip it up while your outside and then unzip it as soon as you get in.

I'll be looking into it then.
I was just creeped out about her being closed in, but if fresh air can get in that eases my anxiety, haha. It diesn't get too cold here, but since I've been spoiled with so many 80-90 degree Christmases...I feel like a damn popsicle these days

if you look at my pic it just zips like to where their head goes...then the flap above their head just comes over and velcros to a small piece of velcro.
