Avielle?

In the light of the horrible gruesome Newtown shooting last friday, and the faces that started to be added to this cruel nightmare, I've noticed one of the innocent little victims is called Avielle. I had never heard of that name before and fell in love with it, right away. What would be a good middle name for it?

Rest in peace sweet Avielle and all the other victims. :'(

I personally wouldnt. Every time I would say her name, I would think of the tragedy.

But, if you like it, go for it.

It looks like a "feminine spelling'' of Aviel, which is a Hebrew boy's name.

I'm not sure I could name my child after a murdered little girl that I didn't know, and that is connected to that massacre.

It's too tragic and sad.

I feel like there should be a "R" in the name somewhere. I'm not a fan  
Regardless, my heart breaks for her and her classmates and the staff.

I feel there is nothing wrong with using the name. It is very honorable. Not a terrible thing to do, using the name. I think it's very sweet!!!

You are right. It's beyond tragic. It's beyond my understandment and I'll never get through it. I'm not saying I'd name my child with that name, thus, I'm not even pregnant or trying to. It was just curiosity because I think the name's just beautiful. However, I think it's nothing but a honorable thing to do. <3

Well, no offense... but it's really only honourable if you're naming your LO specifically after that girl.

It doesn't matter, really. It's not horrible to name my LO Avielle if I want to. And yes, it is honourable if it's after the little precious girl.

Actually, it's really creepy that you'd name your kid after a dead girl you've never met.

I think it's a beautiful name, though I think I like the name Aviela (Hebrew name meaning "My father is God") even better.
