Maybe let her have one?

Why are you assuming that is what she believes and is teaching her child?

she's 2.5 she helps me bake a lot though. I love baking and cooking so shes often in the kitchen helping me since a pretty young age. If she thinks I'm not looking though, she'll dip her fingers in the batter and lick it or steal the spoon and lick it haha.

Well yeah, obviously she would have one. But, whats the point in baking a batch of cookies this year when she has no clue? Its more for BD and me to eat, and we dont need the cookies! LOL! But now I have to bake them with her because she has an elf apron that lights up!

Jesus wasn't born on December 25th.

I'm fairly certain my DS thinks Santa and Satan are the same person. He screamed actual bloody murder when I tried to take him to see him. Luckily they didn't make me pay for the pics.

My son was 2 1/2 last year and didn't understand the concept of Christmas. This year he gets it.
Madilynn was 22ish months in October when Christmas crap was up in stores. She understood the concept then. I remember when she first saw a Christmas tree I asked her "who was fat, old, and will bring you presents on Christmas?"
"Daddy!"
lol

They both love Santa. When I took them to see him, they both went on and on and on about what they wanted that eventually the picture person had them to leave. lol!

My DD will be 19 months this week and she is TERRIFIED of Santa. She freaked out when we took her to see him and every time she sees him in a commercial on TV. I'm not going to push it or anything. I think she's too young to understand it. She's had fun "helping" us decorate the tree, making ornaments, and listening to Christmas music, but that's about it. The presents will just be presents from mom and dad. Next year, I hope she has fun wih the whole Santa thing.

Listen, dd 19 months has no clue. She just knows there's this big tree thing in the house with lots of balls on that she takes on and attempts to put back constantly. There's no way I would be baking cookies. Not only would she not understand in the slightest, but if she didn't get to play with the dough exactly how she wanted to, which would probably include no actual baking, world war 3 would commence. She would also have a meltdown if the dough stuck to her fingers and if I tried to wash it off. It's a lose lose situation. Your daughter sounds right on track. Seems like next year they will get it.

Yes, because the Christians took the date from the Pagans and jizzed all over it, as they did with Easter.
You don't know much about your own religion, do you?

Some education for you about pagan traditions, winter soltice, saturnalia and why Christians celebrate in December:
