Infant carseats

posted 16th Dec
I want one that goes to AT LEAST 30lbs, I know there are a couple that go to 35, too (Snugride 35 and Evenflo Embrace 35) -

Which infant seat do you have that was less than 170.00 and goes to At LEAST 30lbs -do you like it, do you recommend it?

I got the graco click connect 40 recently, haven't been able to use it yet, but I'm excited about it.
It's an infant seat AND convertible seat. I'm amazed by it lol.
It read faces until 2 years old.
I think it was $219, but babies r us ha coupons right now for 20% off and I think it ended up being around $180ish... But honestly since it's so versatile, I think it's worth the little bit of extra money.

ETA: here's the link for it:

Its really hard on your arms to be holding a 20-30 lbs baby in an infant carrier.... just throwin it out there. I stopped using the infant seat at about 15lbs because he was just too heavy to hold in the seat after that.

The thing is I have 3 convertibles right now, so I don't really need one - at the moment, the older kids use the 3 convertibles and the 9 year old is in a booster still, but by the time the baby outgrows an infant seat, the oldest still in a convertible will be in a booster, she's right on that edge where she COULD be in a booster now, but I want to keep her in the convertible until this baby is ready to move out of the infant seat. Plus I like the ability to take them right from the car and not have to wake them up or remove them from the seat if they are sleeping or if it's cold.....

Yeah but you can always leave the seat in the car, you don't have to lug it around. That's what we did. I like infant from the beginning cause I hate waking babies up while sleeping.

Yeah, I remember my son being pretty darned heavy in his. But the dynamics of having 5 kids, I think having the infant seat if needed would be easier on everyone.

I did a TON of research on various infant seats and strollers. I wanted one that was light weight, durable and at least 30 pounds. I really wanted a travel system but every single one I looked at was really heavy and didnt fold up fast and easy. One day we stumbled upon Britax B-Agile stroller and B-Safe infant seat. It was exactly what we were looking for it. It folds up SUPER easy and is lighter than other strollers. The infant seat is great. It goes up to 30 pounds and 32 inches tall. It also has the 5 point harness. Its awesome. I recommend it to everyone that I know is having a baby soon.

This is the car seat except ours is black:

Definitely agreed... When baby is a newborn its definitely worth it to be able to take the entire carseat out of the car and not wake them. Plus you can always just snap the car seat into the stroller (if you have a compatible stroller)
But I just switched to my ergo baby carrier once baby started killing my arm lol

But I've seen people carrying their baby around in the infant carrier and sometimes the seat bumps into everything, makes me feel sorry for the baby.

Oh, that looks really god! How heavy is the carseat? I don't know if we will do a travel system or not, we're trying to decide if it's worth it for us to have a double stroller since our youngest is delayed and still isn't really walking (she will be 2 on the 20th).

In my experience, the double stroller is totally worth it!! My daughter is 2 and a few months and she still rides in the double stroller.
