dd asked if she could wear..

posted 16th Dec
Panties while we went shopping instead of a diaper. I'm more than thrilled age came to me and asked only thing is she has yet to have an accident free day so when we go out I put a diaper on her.would it be an ail ideA to let get go out wearing underwear?

Idk if this sounds stupid but what if I put a panty lineron her under wear?

Of course I gave extra clothes and stuff.

If you have extra clothes I don't see why not. If she manages to make it the whole time without an accident that will just boost her confidence more about it.

If she asked do it!!! Take extra clothes and if you can get her to wear theboantyliner that'd prolly be good then if she dribbles on the way to the potty she won't need a full change. I'd take her to the potty when u first get there. It sucks having a cart full and having to go change them

Hmm, never thought of a panty liner. Lol
If you let her, I'd let her know that anytime she feels the urge to go potty, she has to tell you. Or else the diaper goes right back on.

Leave undies on her all the time. The switching back and forth confuses kids sometimes. Just bring extra clothes with you, and shoes too. Make sure she potties before you leave the house!

For some reason my son does really well with being out of the house in underwear - only has accidents when he's at home. Just be sure to potty before you leave and take her once an hour or so while your out - I;m sure she will do great! Just be sure to bring extra clothes.

a panty liner wouldnt absorb anything. it would be pointless and probably uncomfortable for her.

i wouldnt let her wear underwear out yet, not if she's still having accidents every day. tell her she needs at least one day with no accidents then she can wear her underwear out... maybe that will be an incentive to really step it up with the peeing on the potty

I agree. Either panties or diapers. Switching is confusing and isn't getting them anywhere.

Thanks fire all the advice ladies. I did take her out without a diaper and she didn't have an accident for 4 hors till we got home. She ran to the bathroom but just want quick enough. She did better than expected though. I only put her in diapers at bed time and when we go out and about.every other time she's either naked it had underwear.

ohhhh that's not good -- did she tell you why? my daughter is very sensitive about bathrooms if they look dirty she wont go -- if theres a smell she wont go -- if theres too many people she wont go -- its really frustrating and i feel bad for her.
