Cupcake Questions

posted 16th Dec
I've made cupcakes plenty of times...they're always good. Lol
BUT....as I was making them earlier I started thinking of some questions.
First of all...the cupcake tins...they come with the foil AND the paper inside....do you use both or take the papers out and use the foil, OR the papers? Lol...I take the papers out use the foils and then save the papers for next time, heck...I don't even know how you're supposed to use those but that's the way I do.
And today I opened the new tins I bought and it says on there, "Remove the paper and use the foil cups without using a muffin pan" and it said you could put them onto a baking sheet. So then it got me thinking....do some people not even use the cupcake tins?! Lol...seriously I feel dumb now, like it seems there are many options?
So now my cupcakes have been sitting and cooling IN their foils IN my muffin pans. I got to thinking, do some people take their cupcakes OUT of the cupcake tins and frost them, or do you leave them in the tins, frost them and whenever people eat them, they'll peel it off?
And do you refrigerate your cupcakes to store them? I used to just have them sitting in my neat cupcake holder storage container, but then I got to thinking...the frosting has dairy in it. We never usually even refrigerate our cakes we bake, we just make sure they are sealed up well.
So baking experts....answer my dumb questions, please!

I only buy/use paper in a cupcake tin. I take them out to cool,as soon as they're done baking.

So you unpeel them and leave just the cupcake then?

No I leave the paper on until the person eating it takes it off.

Lol ok, me too...I even read that it helps keep them moist.

I save the paper to use for the next batch too. I always use the tins even if I am using the special wrappers. I never take them out of the wrappers. Whomever is eating it can peel it off. As for storing them in the fridge, it depends on what type of icing I'm using. I prefer when they are room temp though unless the icing requires them to be stored in the fridge.

I just buy the paper ones, let them sit and cool in the tin, then take them out and let the user peel them off.

I tried the new Cool Whip Frosting thing and it requires them to be refrigerated...I like cupcakes room temperate though so Idk how I'm going to like these.

Yes, really good...they have three different flavors if you haven't already seen them. I got the vanilla one. People really loved them.
