We hate diseases in this household so my son is completely vaccinated. Nothing bad ever happened.

He got stuck with needles a few times, that sucked.....but no Polio so I think we're still in the green.

My son is vaccinated. He needs to be protected from those who choose not to vaccinate. And we vaccinate on time.

I plan on vaccinating my children.

Here is my thought... we have eradicated so many terrible diseases with vaccines. Yes, there are possible side effects, but they are rare. Side effects are possible with ANYTHING you ingest, and in the end, I would rather my child have a side effect from something that will protect her, than have her contract a disease that could have been prevented in the first place.

Also, don't buy into scare tactics. Odds are your child will develop a slight temperature at most from being vaccinated.

I've vaccinated my DS, but my sister apparently has this book that has all the ingredients in a vaccine and it's scared her so bad she didn't vaccinate either of her children. She says that for most of the diseases, the treatment is getting the "vaccine", so she says that if her kids do end up with whatever, she'll get them the shot then, but not before.

First of all, this is the most difficult decision I have ever had to make for my children. My 5 yr old cannot be vaccinated ever again because of the past reactions he has had. I cannot be because I have an auto immune disease that was triggered by the DTaP. After knowing everything that's in vaccines, reading the inserts for each vaccine, I still question my decision to cease all vaccines from our entire family. However, I look at it like this. My children walk around every day, they drive around in a car every day. Their chances of dying in a car crash or being hit by walking down the street are higher than them contracting polio and dying. If someone were to line me up 1000 guns and they were to tell me "only one gun contains a single bullet. Pick one and shoot it at your child." Chances are REALLY good I won't kill my child. But, do I risk that? What if it ensures me my child will never die? Do I still risk it? I couldn't. Vaccines are NOT one size fits all. Vaccine injuries ARE real, just as real as the diseases they are meant to protect against. It boils down to the risk. Either way you are risking your child's health and well being. This site is REALLY good, it's unbias and their mission is much like Dr. Sears. Not to be anti vaccination, but pro education. http://www.nvic.org/ Also, I REALLY encourage you to watch both Vaccine Nation and The Greater Good. Both very good, unbias documentaries.

The ingredients in bologna are scarier.

He's not around other kids right now, not even really around many adults either. That's why I felt safe about waiting but I have this feeling like swap down that I need to start getting his vaccination. Idk where it's even coming from but it started a week or so ago. And now I watched this show and it really hit home.

Yes, both my kids are vax'd, I don't want them to contract some horrible childhood disease. How I decided? It was honestly never a question for me, though I did do some research and basically just confirmed what I already knew. That a lot of the gobbly smurf that keeps some parents from vaxing is well... goobly smurf. Lol. (No offense, your kids.) The only side effects either of them have had is sore legs aside from DD getting a little bit of a rash from the MMR vaccine. That's it.

Vaccines did not eradicate diseases. Proper hygiene and sanitation and education did. If you look at disease timelines, they were all in the decline BEFORE their vaccine counterpart was introduced.

LOL, we don't eat pork at all, and my DH and DS are vegetarians...

I've never been interested in what's in bologna...

Both of my kids are, and any more I have will be. Yes there are risks involved such as severe allergic reaction. But to me the benefits of vaccinating outweigh the risks.

You're welcome. This is NOT an easy decision. It is seriously the most difficult for me in parenting. My 5 yr old has had a total of 3 reactions, this last one was the worst. It was the most scared I have ever been, and it was only his leg and the muscle in his leg. Each reaction has gotten progressively worse, and we were told last time they are to be "expected" to get worse with each vaccine and it could damage the muscle permanently or lead to losing the entire leg. The dr still was pushy about continuing vaccines   You just told me my son COULD lose muscle or his entire leg, and you want me to continue? REALLY?! I was dumbfounded. The past 6 months I have done nothing but research from government sites or unbias sites. I have been given links to vaxtruth, and I've browsed, but I try to steer clear of conspiracy theorist crazies
