kidney stone

Last Sunday I went to the hospital because I had lots of pain about 2 inches over from my hip bone and lots of blood in my urine. after running some tests they sent me home thinking I have a kidney stone. had to go back in the next day to have an ultrasound done on my kidney and bladder. Dr called me later said they didn't see a stone but I did have something that started with a H (but I don't remember what it was) in the right kidney. But she still thinks I have a stone but she put me on an antibiotic as a precautionary and Im drinking a ton of fluids. its been almost a week and now Im having pain in my back I haven't passed anything yet. How long does it take usually to pass and is there anything I can do to make it pass faster.. someone suggested taking a table spoon of apple cider vinegar a day and it would dissolve it.

Just keep drinking a ton of water. It took 4 weeks from the time I went to the ER until they passed. Good luck, mama!

UGH 4 weeks! how did you deal with the pain?

The first week I was taking oxycodone. I was pregnant and it was awful. The next 3 weeks, the pain was a little more bearable. I got away with taking a Tylenol for the pain.

I went thru the same thing in my pregnancy from 24 weeks until the day I delivered. They thought it was a stone but I never passed anything. The baby was laying on my ureter causing hydronephrosis which I'm assuming is what you have.

tons and tons of water!! hopefully if there is a stone in there, it will pass.I know how miserable that is!

Im 30 weeks, they didn't give me anything. But I didn't ask what I could take either. I think I will take some Tylenol and see if it helps

That may be what it is. she never explained it to me or anything just said I had it. I was running late when she called so I didn't catch everything she said but its definitely not fun!
