DCA the cure for cancer?

Anyone heard this? What are you thoughts?

I would like to know the side affects and percentage of those side effects happening. Sometimes I feel like the side effects of things we take are more dangerous then what we are taking it for. I did not see that in the article unless I missed it.

It is interesting and some of the comments are fascinating too. I do think the pharmacy world is a bit of a monopoly when it comes to what drugs we can and can not take that actually help. That being said it is slowly changing with some states legalizing weed for medical purposes. I'm going to keep an eye on this "cancer cure."

what pharmaceutical companies can engineer and what the FDA will approve for human use are two totally different worlds. there are already some amazing drugs out there that will never make their way to the consumers hands because of red tape, and side effects deemed too detrimental to be given a green light by the FDA. I think we should be able to make that decision for ourselves in a lot of cases. Ah well!

Oh yes the FDA is whole other ball game. There are a lot of different sides both good and bad. I just meant I personally would like to know the risk. There are a lot of medicines I don't take because of side affects that happen in me, it's why we only use condoms.

Apparently there aren't major side effects. DCA is already used for metabolic disorders.

The school had a hard time finding someone to take it on and do trials on it, because it's already a patented drug and you can't make money off of it.   And it only works against certain types of cancers.
