How long did you wait?

How long would/did you wait after having a miscarriage to try again?

DH and I weren't trying this past November. We were tracking my cycles since I just got mirena removed and my LH surge came out of no where the morning after an oopsie. I found out I was pregnant end of Nov but we lost the baby this past week. I am just wondering when you ladies wanted to try again? We originally decided to TTC in Jan/Feb but now I dunno. Part of me says we should try again soon and part of me says no. I know it's still too early to really think about all of this.... I am still healing from our loss. It was just a random thought though and I usually get great feedback from everyone here.

I personally waited one year. I didnt even want to think about being pregnant again. I was still in school so i just decided to finish HS first

We just found out I can't go back to school until next year (DHs job has crazy hours and daycare in Hawaii is ridiculously high) that's why we thought TTC in Jan/Feb would be a good idea. If i could go to school this coming semester I would do that and put baby making on hold.

it all depends on when you and your partner feel ready, i lost one last november then started ttc 3 months later, 3 months after that i fell pregnant again... but smurf was i scarred for 12 weeks, it was really hard for me and my partner those past 12 weeks and every little problem worried us (however i guess everytime i fall pregnant i will be the same) but it was so worth it as i am now almost 30 weeks gone. good luck hun x

It is up to you and your SO on when to start trying again. My husband and I lost one Feb 2, 2006 our doctor cleared us to start trying again and we found out on April 15, 2006 that we were pregnant again. Our daughter was born healthy and happy on December 16, 2006.

We started trying right away after the first 2 miscarriages, but after the 3rd one, we took a 6 month break. I needed time to heal emotionally, and wanted to get some testing done. Found out I have MTHFR. I'm currently pregnant for the 5th time, and so far everything is going well. Try whenever you feel ready. Allow yourself time to heal if you need it. Best wishes.

We miscarried in February 2010. We were going to wait until the summer (starting June) to try again but ended up with a BFP May 16th 2010. DD was born Dec. 16th 2010.

dh and i tried one cycle after our loss at 22w. i wish we'd waited though because i wasn't emotionally ready.. but i love my boy so much and can't imagine my life without him. i had alot of issues with my pregnancy and dh and i decided to wait 3 years. but alas, im pregnant 2 1/2 years later ;) so got close to the goal
