Another post made me want to ask.....

If the US government said they would buy your gun from you in an effort to eradicate guns from "non essential gun owners" (I am assuming cops and military would remain legally armed) meaning they were going to destroy your guns they bought from you and you could not purchase more, would you?

No in another thread on tougher gun laws in America an Australian member said that after a shooting their prime minister offered to buy guns from people, when they bought them from them they destroyed them. And as a result millions of Australians turned their guns in leaving a lot less guns in Australia. As well as I think she mentioned the permit to get a gun is very hard.

If the US government said they wanted to get rid of all guns in the country and they offered to buy it from you, would you sell it to them if you knew it was to take guns from all non essential gun owners?

Essentially forfeiting the right to bear arms.

Yes. If you didnt need a gun you were to sell it to the government.

Would you fight it or just sell it over with no complaints? I am just wondering how it would go over with the Americans of the BG nation. I personally know quite a few that would fight it with everything in them. I am kinda in the middle.

No, I would keep one. Even if it was illegal.

Yes I would fight it, get convicted for crimes against the government, and then take my case to the Supreme Court where it would be revoked because we piss on the Constitution anyways.
