re: "another" shooting post

Every other time there has been a mass shooting or any sort violence in our country i have felt effected by it, but today I just felt numb. And Ive seen like a trillion post about the children and I just keep thinking about all other children that people use because of stupid smurfed up people. I know Im not making much sense I dont have anyone to talk to about this, i knew I needed to talk about it, but I have never felt numb when something like this has happened.

Wow, I've been crying over this all day. Now I'm going to weep for a post like this as well. Whether here or in another country, every innocent death is heartbreaking.

No. It's not that people don't care or that their loves are worth less because they are in Syria.
The kids in CT were probably working on their lists for Santa and their parents were discussing which items to get.
The kids in Syria have been living under siege. Sure it's awful but this is more shocking and obviously closer to home and more personal.

BTW, half of BG has no idea what you are talking about regarding Syria.

Yea I didnt think that many BG people would know about Syria that's ok, i didnt excpet a awesome response either i know people are really hurting about the shooting. I just wish I could snap outta it, maybe I just need a a little more time to process it.

I feel numb about it too. I'm not sure why. I've been trying not to read about it at all. I just know it happened from fb. I refuse to go look it up.

My cousins have family on their dads side that are in and around Syria. Their little cousin was hit and killed by a stray bullet. I think that what happened today is so sad. What is happening in Syria just isn't comparable in most Americans eyes because they don't know or hear about it.

Im so glad im not the only one, i read about it on yahoo and refused to listen to it on news and tuned it out when I was waiting in line at the store today...

Thats really sad, I just wish it we cared about all people, and it didnt thing so close to our own home to get people to start talking..
