I just wish I could see a real doc that specializes in this kind of stuff. I just want answers, and got nothing. I know there's not much to really know right now, but still. I don't know whether to curl up in a ball and cry, or be joyous and happy. My emotions are all out of whack.

with my first, when I found out I was pregnant I was about 5 weeks along and I was spotting somewhat heavy. Went to the ER(got seen 17hours later cause I was too early in my pregnancy to be an emergancy) they took my blood work, and my lvls were low. The spotting stopped the next day but I still had blood work done that day again, and my lvls did go up but not enough like they were hoping. So I had blood work done for 2 weeks. My lvls started to increase like they wanted after the first week. I also had an ultrasound done at 5 weeks, didn't see anything, went back when I was 6 week, saw my little bean. That was 3 yrs ago.

Were your levels a 5 though? The ER doc said he has never seen levels that low with a positive pregnancy test.

I don't remember the exact number, just that they were low.

I have never heard of some one getting a positive with such low levels before. Weird.

I questioned the doctor but he had no answers. He was confused himself. They didn't even try to do anything further. No pelvic exam, nothing.

I had somewhat heavy spotting at the begining of this pregnancy. I had a bad UTI that I like you didn't know about, somehow I was getting dehydrated and wasn't aware. Take the antibiotics will help. The bleeding stopped after the meds got in my system for a few days and I got hydrated. Im now 25weeks. Don't give up yet till ya know whats going on for sure.

Really?! Geez that just lifted weight off my shoulders - even if I don't get that lucky. I'm starting the meds in the morning so I can make sure I'm getting the 3 doses in. He said it was pretty bad. 3 times per day for 10 days...

Yea. I had to do a second round after that. Even tho I was feeling better when I went in for some reason I still had part of the infection. At 20weeks I had to have my blood pressure checked and they found another uti. I don't know how I keep getting it, but the doc is having it checked each time I go in. I have been so scared that I might lose her because I haven't gained any weight but they did an ultrasound monday because of my bp being high. They said that she is 1lb 12oz. Now they are worried about my bp. :-/ if its not one thing it will be another!

My first pregnancy was like that. I had a UTI then entire time and delivered at 24 weeks. Not trying to scare you, but mine went unnoticed for a long time. And I had a really stupid doc.

I'm just hoping this goes alright...

Meds, fluid, rest. Try not to drink to much pop if you do the sodium will dehydrate you and make it harder to clear up the infection. What do they say like cranberry juice helps to or something. (That may be an old wives tale kind of thing tho.) lol. OB just said he wants to check each time for a uti and protien. I like the OB I have, the hospital tho isn't big so if I have to delivery they will send me an hour away to a hospital with a NICU.

Ya, the ER doc said water, feet up, no stress. So I'm trying my best.

My NICU was also an hour away. I was flown there by helicopter after my doc sent me home having contractions 10 minutes apart and only 23 weeks pregnant. I stayed in the other hospital for a week before I got yet another infection and my sons heart rate was dropping significantly so they did an emergency c-section. He's a healthy 3 year old now though!
