Craziness in schools

With all the craziness that surrounds schools now-a-day would you consider home schooling?!

Why or why not?

No. Things like this have been going on since the beginning of time.

No. People are killed every day in car crashes, but I don't stop driving on the roads.

Yes. There has been so many ahootings since 1999. Not only are there shootings theres vullying which can also have deadly conclusions.... i bring my daughter in this world im going to do what ever i cab to keep her physically and mentally safe....

No. Isolated incidents don't cause abrupt paranoia for me. I'll still send my kids to school on Monday. Besides, someone else would do a better job at educating my children than I would.

I already considered it, but not because of this.

More kids die from car crashes and I still let my kid get in cars.

No, like I stated in another thread:

Will you still go to the movies (even after the CO shootings)?
Will you still go to the mall (even after the OR shootings this week)?

We can't shelter ourselves or our kids because of this. Homeschooling is something that can't be decided on lightly and this should have nothing to do with one's decision to homeschool or not.

No... everyone I have ever met that was home schooled was very anti social and also didnt really understand what is and isnt apprpreate in a social setting. School is an important part of a childs development in my mind.

Yes i know that my sister was homeschooled and i know plenty of others who were also. Its my daughter its my choice on how i want to raise her....

As am I. Touch screens don't slaughter sentence structure and verb tenses.

No, I would like to go to work. Plus, I feel my child will have a better education from someone who has a college degree in teaching. I also don't feel the need to shelter children. I would like to him to be able to work as a team with his peers and have as much social interaction as he can get. I'm not going to be here forever.
