Official Thoughts and Prayers Page

After seeing so many posts today over the tragedies in Connecticut and China and dealing with some grief of my own, I decided maybe it would be a good idea to have a central page for people to post their needs for thoughts or prayers for whatever is weighing heavy on them.

Please no "gun control" stories or posts about the recent events. I know a lot of us have school aged children or close to it who are really hurting over the stories of the past day and it is too soon for such discussion so please, leave it out of here.

I will start. First, since it is on all of our minds, I would like to send my thoughts out to the families of the poor children in Connecticut and China and hope that they can find some peace in the midst of this tragedy.

Secondly, I am extending thoughts to a BG mom who just posted about a friend who has overdosed (I believe I read it correctly)

Third, a few days ago, a friend from high school was killed in action while serving in Afghanistan and leaves behind a wife who is expecting and a baby girl. Wes, I can't tell you or your family how sorry I am for your loss. You have consumed my thoughts for the past few days. I can't imagine what your family is going through. RIP Wes, thank you for your service and for being a wonderful friend.

I know how hard it can be when you don't get a call or video chat. DH is currently overseas and it's on my mind everyday.

I will keep everyone who is involved in the CT school shooting (doctors, police, students, staff, staff and anybody else) in my thoughts and prayers

I will keep everyone who is involved in the China tragedy in my thoughts and prayers.

I will keep a Facebook friend who just lost her son to Anencephaly. Also another one whose daughter is a week old who also is affected to this condition.

And I have my thoughts and prayers with you and your family and friend's family

I looked at his wife's FB page and read down through all of the posts since his death and when I got to the end, my heart stopped.

Her last post before his death said how much she was missing him but she couldn't wait to talk to him about the baby. She had just had another doctor's appointment.

Her next post was that he had been killed. I just can't imagine. DH was discharged from the Navy thank God. I can't imagine the worry you ladies have to go through.

I'm sorry for your loss. My heart breaks to think about all this loss and sadness so close to what is supposed to be a cheerful time.
Also, a girl I know from high school lost her 3-year-old little girl to cancer on Tuesday. Healing energies for that family as well would be much appreciated.

OMG, how horrible! They are in my thoughts.

My heart goes out to all the families that are suffering right now. Whether it be from the tragic event in Connecticut, or something else, my heart truly aches for those that are hurting.

I would also like to add quickly that there is a girl who contacted me months ago about an abusive relationship that she is currently in. We talk via PMs. Anyways, she sent me a message that she was attempting to get away from him but I haven't heard back yet. She could really use some prayers if you pray.

Of course my thoughts and prayers go out to anyone involved/affected by the CT and China tragedies...

Also my heart goes out to Bama. He was in a motorcycle accident the day after he got married. He was on life support for a few days before he started breathing on his own and they were very optimistic about his chances. But he didn't pull thru.

Today is his Funeral.

RIP Bama.

Thoughts and parayers to all listed. I would like to add the brother and the family of the shooter. Alot of people have forgotten him. He just lost his mother, and brother. I'm sure he is wondering why his own brother would do something so horrible, and if there was anything he could've or should've done to stop it.
