My 11yr old son took the Gifted Education test yesterday, in order to qualify for the program he had to score in the 97 percentile or better in one of three categories.
He brought his scores home today and he rocked it! He got a 95 in Verbal, a 99 in Quantitative and 99 in non-verbal. His teacher says it's the highest scores they've seen all year in the entire district and the Gifted teacher said it was one of the highest he has EVER seen.
This is a child I was told was told when he was 7 that he had an IQ of 77 (70 is considered cognitively delayed, below is 100 is considered below average), when in reality he just had undiagnosed and untreated ADHD (and possibly Asperger's)
