This is gross...

Warning, this is TMI.. I just need to know if I should go see my OB.

My son was born Oct 18.

My first PP period started Dec 4th. I started the NuvaRing on Dec 5th. My actual period (with red blood) ended Dec. 10th. It's now Dec. 14th. Ever since my period ended, I've been having this REALLY gross mud-colored discharge. It's not very heavy. It's just NASTY.

I don't have any STDs, just tested.

What could this be? Is this normal?

Sounds like your uterus is cleaning itself out. It's normal, the brown and mud colored as you described is just old blood and lining filtering itself out.

I had that. It's normal unless it smells. If it smells, you may have an infection.

How long did it go on for? I read it's really common for NuvaRing users.

I haven't used a nuvaring. Erm let me think. I stopped bleeding about 3 weeks PP and that stuff came out of me til about 6 weeks PP, but I had an infection and got treated then so that may be why it stopped.
