Exactly and crazy people don't seem to know they're crazy so they aren't going to seek help themselves.

And zero fatalities, I think I heard. It's a lot harder to kill someone with a knife.

You have pretty much anyone able to get a gun, legally if they can, illegally otherwise- I just...I don't know what the answer is. It's like we're so far into this gun-culture that we can't climb out.

Quoting KNZ.:" i wouldn't consider homeschooling keeping your kid in a bubble though."

It isn't; however, if the only reason to home school is to keep child from getting shot then what will that parent be letting the child do? I doubt that parent will let child socialize, play sports, and so forth because of the fear of something happening. That kind of parent usually lets fear take over them to the point of not letting child do anything outside of home.

Most home schooled children I know are home schooled by parents who believe the education system is bad. That is why they wish to teach their kids, for better education. They still allow their kids to participate in extra activities to socialize.

Seriously.

Violent people in general I just don't get. Fistfights and stuff like tat even...it seems so primitive and stupid to me.

Oh my goodness. Thankfully, those children are only injured and not dead.

That mother didn't mean to have her child die in a horrid way. Everyone does things occasionally that aren't parentally perfect. Point is, bad things happen to good people everywhere. Home included.

I understand that and I agree, I just don't see how people with a history of mental illness or violence can legally get a gun. It happens all the time.

That's what i was saying in another comment, if it was us specifically, my son still has scouts, sports, etc. The kind of things we take him too.
The idea of him at school, then transferring to a school where we just had a student shoot another this last year, is scary to me.

I agree. Defense is one thing but why just start things for no reason. My dad "killed" a guy who was attacking and raping a female police officer. His family who had never visited him filled a lawsuit, which they lost. Then followed me home and tried to attack me and my son...that was a mistake.

The smurffy part is, and what maxes it so unfixable---is that I can tell you three places right now to go buy a gun out of the back of someone's car. No ID check, nothing.

Man...smurf people.

i guess.
i just suppose if i was the parent of one of the children from the school shooting, i wouldn't want it compared to someone setting their kid up on something that common sense isn't safe.

I agree with that, but those people would find a way. If you want to do something so horrid, be it caused by mental illness or not; I doubt you're going to worry about breaking the law and buying a weapon illegally. It is like saying a bank robber should hypothetically not be able to escape from a bank in an urban area because there are too many traffic lights and they will have to stop, therefore get caught.
