Fast Food Jobs

posted 14th Dec
Would you work at fast food for temporary until you could find something better, or would you just wait 'till something else comes along? This is not my situation by the way..I have a decent job. I'm asking because someone else refuses to get a fast food job even though she can't find a job anywhere else. She has children too

Yes, if i absolutely had too.

Which i have. ( I applied to all jobs, i did not pick and choose! )

You do what you can to support your children. Yes it pays smurffy, ya it's gross, sure it may be embarrassing. It's called life, and being a parent.

I'd slide up and down a pole if it paid the bills and was what i needed to do.
When you are down, and hard up for cash with a family to support. You do not have the right to pick and choose your job.

If i had bills, and especially children to take care of, i'd take whatever came my way, not wait around.

Absolutely not. I'd rather keep looking. I'll even work for my father if I had too.

yeah

I have done it as a student and if I had to, I would do it now. It's not horrible and rather easy to move up to better positions (which arent amazingly well paid but).I actually had more fun working in fast food joints than in retail

If childcare isn't an issue, I'd work any job that offered me a position to support my kids. Sometimes the cost of childcare can outweigh anything you would have made at the job and that I get.

That's fairly selfish.

That is true. In this situation though, she can get someone to watch her kids for free, or even take them to daycare and get childcare assistance and not pay much.

See and that's just selfish. If she can get someone to watch them for free or pay very little, then she needs to be working.
