I have it and plan on TTC next October. I have one child and had her 4.5 years before I was diagnosed so I'm interested but positive to see how my next pregnancy goes.
Usually if you are on medication to treat the hypo they monitor you a little closer but nothing crazy. Your meds may need to be adjusted during pregnancy.

Also, if you get regular periods now, your chances of conceiving are as normal as someone who doesn't have a thyroid disease.

They monitor ur levels w blood draws n determine whether ur dosage is fine or not. It's no big deal really even while preggo long as u take ur med. only thing that sucks is the fatigue n spike in body temp but ur levels are normal it's just ur hormones.

He upped my meds for pregnancy. My pregnancy was pretty good. No problems, other than the usual aches and pains. After I had DD is when my levels got wonky and a year later, still aren't right. But, I have Hashimoto's disease.

Yes I have Hashimoto's as well. I got tested in the beginning of pregnancy and they put me on 100mcg of Levothyroxine and my levels were perfect and now they're out of whack again. I have to go in to either up or lower my dose this weekend. If you just have Hypothyroid and not Hashimoto's it should be relatively easy to treat with medication, just make sure you take it everyday. Thyroid disorders are pretty common during pregnancy I was told. I wish you the best!

Thats what I been told... I see my Dr on the 18th so I cant wait.. I have my 3 yr old ( 3 in March) and never knew I had i and then my 3rd pregnancy 10 months ago I was told my thyroid was high and could just be due to my pregnancy that with my next appt they'll check it again. Well about a wk after tat apt I miscarried so we never checked it since. Well this past Oct I was Dx with Hypothyroidism and Im on the lowest dosage right now but they said they'll check my levels on the 18th of Dec and might up the dosage but now that We're trying again ( this app says I'm already 2 wks, but Idk for sure yet I am waiting to take my test) then if I'm positive by the time I see my Dr... then they'll up it again. I'm affraid to lose this baby due to my thyroid. Glad I asked the question, definitly helps give me some insight and hope on this Dx's from reading the response from those of you who relate. Thanks Ladies!
