When to tell...?

I've already told my immediate family that I'm pregnant, but I don't know when I should tell everyone else. I know this sounds silly, but I can't wait to make a Facebook announcement about it! I've never been able to do that. When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, my mom and brother told everyone in the family, and my last 3 pregnancies resulted in miscarriage, so I never announced those. I have an OB appointment and ultrasound next week. I want to announce with an ultrasound picture. I'll be 8 weeks. Think that's too early? I'm just so anxious to spread the news! When did you announce your pregnancy?  

I told people when I found out at 6 weeks. If you have had miscarriages I would wait till your close to your second trimester.

Mine was announced for me too at seven weeks. =/ I would have loved to wait because I didn't even know it was a viable pregnancy at that time.

Congratulations though! I didn't realize you were pregnant. I wouldn't have told until I was in the 2nd trimester if I'd have had the chance, but I don't think 8 weeks is too early.

I think that would be fine. Anytime after your first u/s is good I think. My first I told everyone right away, then my second I think I was 8 weeks and I was 9 weeks with my third.

i waited to announce it to fb when i got my 8 week ultrasound. but everyone close to me knew right away

Yeah, I know... that's what everyone says, but realistically I know there is never a 'safe' point in pregnancy.

I announced mine at around 10 weeks. I would have done it sooner but my parents were out of town when I found out and I wanted to tell them in person instead of them finding out on facebook. I think if you are ready to tell everyone then do it!!!!!  

I told at 14 weeks with baby booties on FB. I think you should tell whenever you feel ready.

at work right away because I work around some hazardous things....but for a fb announcement we waited until 11 weeks when we had an ultrasound picture. We told family that day before we posted it though lol

With my daughter we waited until 13 weeks because I had miscarried before her and was extra nervous.

I've already had 2 ultrasounds and heard the heartbeat twice.

I think she means post a picture of your little girl in a shirt that says "Only child expires in..." and then your DD.

That's cute! I was just going to post an u/s pic with the EDC.
